I was born in a very small town in northern Michigan.  I grew-up, graduated, and left that small town and came to Hope College in Holland (MI) where I majored in Biology and Psychology.  Yup, I’m a science geek!

I married Tim, a fellow Hope grad, in 2002 and we have been living in West Michigan ever since.  He runs the Systems Design department for the House of Worship division for a national Sound and Video company.  That is a long title to simply say he is a computer geek & sound/video guru.  In 2005 we welcomed home our daughter, Abigail Rose.  In April 2008 we expanded our family yet again when we welcomed home our second daughter, Zoe Grace.  Tim is starting to feel desperately out-numbered.

When I’m not busy changing diapers/potty training & chasing a toddler, I design webpages and marketing materials.  I love writing but don’t do it as often as I would like.  Tim and I also own a small business (HenHouse Properties) that deals with real estate.

I also love to travel and hike and love on my hubby.  I’m addicted to reality TV, Lost, Jeopardy, chocolate, and John Travolta.  I think moose are the coolest animals and dream of going on an African Safari some day. Not such a fan of being cold, clowns, the creepy music from Unsolved Mysteries, and being late!

Some day, when the kids are all in school, I would love to be one of those people who bring zoo animals into schools and educate kids on animals.  Did I mention that I’m a science geek?
